Engadin Festival with Quatuor Ebène

Engadin Festival with Quatuor Ebène

This year's Engadin Festival once again offers two summer weeks full of exceptional classical concerts.

The Quatuor Ebène is one of the best ensembles in its field. Its interpretations have a freshness and a tension that is electrifying.

According to the four musicians, the inspiration from the audience plays a large part in this. Whether they are making music for children in a slum in Nairobi, at the Salzburg Festival or in the 1000-year-old church of San Gian in Celerina:

Hair-trigger precision and stylistic confidence, coupled with invigorating spontaneity, are the outstanding qualities that make every concert by this quartet an experience.

The program

Joseph Haydn (1732-1809): String Quartet in G minor op. 20 No. 3 Hob. III: 33 (No. 3 of the "Sun Quartets")

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791): String Quartet No. 21 in D major K. 575 "Violet Quartet" (Prussian Quartet No. 1)
