Bernina Express (673)

The local mountain bike route Bernina Express takes its name from the legendary train of the Rhaetian Railway that runs over the Bernina Pass, and is just as varied and inspiring. The return journey from Poschiavo by train is part of this route, which connects the Upper Engadin with the southern Valposchiavo.

Suvretta Loop (671)

The route was diverted via Fuorcla Schlattain (with pushing sections) because there is a risk of rockfall at Munt da San Murezzan and the trail is closed. The Corviglia Flow Trails

A "surfing paradise" of a different kind, made of earth and stone - you will find it on St. Moritz's local mountain Corviglia. Flow trails without tight hairpin bends and blocked passages, but with smoothly rideable approach curves, hollows, and waves. And the best part: no oncoming traffic.

Experts test the limits of centrifugal force on the flow trails. Less experienced bikers enjoy casual "surfing" over bumps and gentle jumps. The word "flow" refers to smooth biking routes instead of rough switchbacks.

Suitable for families, too

Families with mountain bike experience can also have fun on these rollercoaster-like rides. The flow trails are not suitable for beginners, however – but the required riding technique is straightforward to learn. The various bike schools in the Engadin will be happy to introduce you to the art of riding flow trails. You will need a robust mountain bike and certain coordination skills; a couple of rounds on a pump track provide good preparation. You can find pump tracks in Pontresina and also by the base station of the Signal cable car in St. Moritz Bad.

On your way on an e-bike

Power up the pleasure

Trails that are fun on a mountain bike are generally also easy to ride on an e-mountain bike: The Albula Trail, for example, is perfect for your first single trail experience. You can also ride down the flow trails on Corviglia with your e-mountain bike. And on the wide-ranging natural roads of the Engadin valley floor in the many side valleys or on the Inn bike path from Maloja to Martina, you can go on discovery tours for days.
For example, a trip into the beautiful side valleys is recommended; the roads in the fairytale Val Bever or in the idyllic Val Fex are as if they are made for e-bikes. Those who want to be on the road a little longer can take the route from St. Moritz to Maloja and marvel at the unique scenery of the lake district with the surrounding mountain peaks on the way.
