S-chanf

S-chanf
S-chanf, together with the districts of Chapella, Susauna and Cinuos-chel, is one of the last or first municipalities in the Upper Engadine, depending on where you are coming from, and is located at the entrance to the national park. The long village on the Inn owes its charm to its intact historic village center and to the Romansh language that is still spoken here.

You can cross countless borders

There is hardly a village that has as many borders as S-chanf. At the Scaletta Pass it borders on Davos, at the Sertig Pass on Bergün. S-chanf is bordered by Zuoz, down the valley by Zernez and at the end of the Chaschauna Pass, the crossing to Livigno, by Italy. It is worth exploring the municipal boundaries and exploring the village of 700 souls. And if you don't know how to pronounce the place name, ask someone there. You will see, with a little practice it will soon no longer feel like a button in your tongue.
