Madulain

Madulain
The small, dreamy Madulain is idyllically situated on the Inn. Anyone looking for peace and quiet will find a true oasis here. The smallest municipality in the Upper Engadine has 230 inhabitants, but thanks to typical Engadine houses and the Romanesque everyday culture, it enchants on a grand scale.

The small, fine Madulain

Although the village is rather reserved, it is also inviting and offers a range of unique activities. In summer, inline skaters, hikers and mountain bikers will find varied routes here, and in winter the Madulain ice path is just as enchanting as the Alp E-scha Dadour toboggan run. Madulain is also home to the largest castle complex in the Upper Engadine, the Guardaval ruins date back to the 13th century and are an impressive witness to Engadine history.
