Celerina

Celerina
Nowhere else are the cozy holiday atmosphere, sporting adventure and lively high society hustle and bustle so close together as in this charming place. Whatever your heart desires, for guests of Celerina it is just a stone's throw away.

Celerina is located where three large valleys meet, in the middle of the wide valley plain. The small village is the heart of our region and offers three routes to those who want to discover the diverse beauty of the Engadin: one to Samedan and Bever and the Swiss National Park, where mighty mountains shimmer from afar; another to Pontresina towards the mighty Morteratsch glacier and Lago Bianco on the Bernina Pass; and the other via St. Moritz and the famous Engadin lakes to Maloja. T

hanks to its exposed location, Celerina enjoys more hours of sunshine than any other place in the Engadin high valley - a region that, with 320 days of sunshine a year, is one of the most beautiful "sun rooms" in Switzerland. Its train stations on the Albula line on the northern edge and the Bernina line on the southern edge not only make the village easily accessible, they also offer plenty of opportunities for a wide variety of excursions.

How about a day trip to the palm trees in the green Valtellina? Or go to the Swiss National Park to observe wildlife? Or just stay in the village, stroll through the historic village center with its traditional Engadine houses and experience living tradition, for example at the magnificent Alpine descent. You will be amazed at the multifaceted world you will discover from Celerina!

Ideal base camp for mountain and bike tours

During the summer, the mountain railways provide easy access to the 580 km network of Engadin hiking trails, so that you are spoiled for choice between magnificent panoramic trails, interesting theme trails, excursions suitable for pushchairs or high alpine climbing tours. Bikers can enjoy several classic Engadin mountain bike trails with Flow Fun, from easy to challenging.

Families are drawn to the Marguns mountain station to linger on the spacious playground with a giant swing and trampoline, to go on short hikes suitable for children or - for children aged 12 and over - to enjoy a fast downhill ride down to Celerina on robust scooters. The idyllic Stazersee, located halfway to St. Moritz, provides a place to cool off, where the sun terrace of the inn invites you to relax and enjoy the sun, as well as the lawns and barbecue areas.
