Samedan Summer Bucket List

Muottas Muragl
Of course, our protagonists are our mountains and the wonderful alpine landscape around our village. But what would a holiday in Samedner be without the numerous "icing on the cake"? Without culture, wellness, sport or hiking? We show you that you can experience and enjoy all of this (and of course much more) with us with our summer highlight list:

1. Mineral Bath & Spa

A bathing jewel in the Engadine - bathing between heaven and earth, church and mountains. Let the unique, mystical atmosphere take you to another world. Located in the middle of the historic village center and attached to the listed church, Switzerland's first vertical mineral bath impresses with its unique architecture by Miller & Maranta. The vertical arrangement of the various baths on three floors means that the bathing experience really "grows" beyond itself - until you can finally admire the Alpine panorama from the outdoor pool high up directly under the church tower. You bathe in mineral water from the spa's own spring, which is taken directly under the building at a depth of 35 m.

Digital village tour
‘For those who want to feel quite at home in the Engadine, we advise them to set up their headquarters at the Krone in Samedan.’ This is how the German writer and poet Joseph Viktor von Scheffel described Samedan in 1850. The Gasthaus Krone no longer exists, but there are a number of other hotels, numerous holiday apartments and plenty to experience. Our interactive village tour will tell you how Samedan has developed into a centre and transport hub over the course of history, as well as a lot of current information. Allow an effective walking time of about 40 minutes for the 2.2-kilometre-long tour and the 49-metre difference in altitude, and about the same again to visit the 29 stops on the village tour. We wish you lots of fun and a thirst for knowledge. Scan the QR code in the display case at the station and start your virtual tour.

What many people don't know is that the enclave of Roseg belongs to the municipality of Samedan and is probably the most visited valley in Samedan. In addition to the extraordinary nature, the most famous dessert buffet can be enjoyed here on the restaurant's sunny terrace.
