Kitesurfing in Silvaplana

Silvaplana is considered the surfing mecca of Switzerland. Kitesurfing on a deep blue mountain lake, against an impressive mountain backdrop with snow-capped peaks and surrounded by pristine nature. Thanks to the constant and reliable Maloja wind, Silvaplana is not only unique, but also one of the best kitesurfing spots in Switzerland.

Spot Information

Access is only permitted via Kitebeach.
The lakeshore is located in a protected zone, and only the official entry and exit points may be used. All water sports equipment is strictly prohibited on Lej Suot and Lej da Champfèr.
A membership fee must be paid to Swiss Kitesurf to use Kitebeach.
Best wind direction: Southwest (Maloja wind).
Strong northerly winds and a strong northerly wind are not ideal for kitesurfing in Silvaplana.
Kitesurfing is not permitted in the windsurfing training zone. This zone is marked with buoys. Thank you for your respectful cooperation.

Courses and Rental

Swiss Kitesurf has a large rental range of kite, wing foil, SUP and pump foil equipment. In addition, various courses are offered for beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels:
