Albula Railway Museum, Bergün

Can you hear it too? The excited puffing of the old locomotives? The hissing sound as the train rushes through a dark tunnel? A visit to the Albula Railway Museum is a true journey through time and brings the past to life.

For more than a hundred years, a journey on the Rhaetian Railway has been a source of wonder and excitement for adults and children alike. To ensure that the fascination doesn't end when you get off the train, young and old train fans in Bergün can also immerse themselves in the world of the railway away from the tracks:

In the Albula Railway Museum, visitors can learn all about the most spectacular of all Swiss railway lines in multimedia rooms and with the help of original exhibits. The historical and current construction history of the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage route is presented, as are the exciting economic and social changes that railway construction brought with it. Visitors can even drive a locomotive over the Albula line in the simulator in the legendary crocodile locomotive, while tinkerers and amateurs can marvel in the model workshop.

The museum is located right next to Bergün railway station on the Albula line between Chur and St. Moritz. The permanent and temporary exhibition comprises 600 exhibits on 1300m2.
