Corviglia/Piz Nair

For active people, adventurers and those looking to take a break
The Corviglia is a real all-rounder: in winter it is a top-class ski area, in summer the slopes are full of sports enthusiasts and day-trippers. When it comes to cuisine, the Corviglia is always on trend with stylish bars, cozy sun terraces and gourmet restaurants!
Where it all began ...
When a clever hotelier brought winter tourism to St. Moritz more than 150 years ago, the Corviglia suddenly found itself in the spotlight and in the decades that followed it became one of the most renowned sports mountains in the world.
For highs and highs
At least one trip to the Corviglia is a must for every sports fan and active holidaymaker! One of the world's most famous snow sports destinations in winter, a mountain bike paradise in summer - a day on the action-packed Corviglia promises adrenaline kicks and adventure galore.
For hikers
Whether ambitious alpine, leisurely or family-friendly - numerous routes on the Corviglia lead to hiking happiness. Stopping and marveling is part of every route, because the wide views over the Engadin lake district have already inspired the who's who of poets, thinkers and musicians to mental flights of fancy.
For runners
Fresh mountain air is healthy. And activates unimagined powers! It is therefore no wonder that the Swiss Olympic Training Base in St. Moritz also uses the Corviglia as a high-altitude training location to prepare its top athletes for top performances. The 1-kilometer-long Finnish track around the Lej Alv (2550 m above sea level) and the Vertical Run over 1200 meters in altitude from St. Moritz to the Piz Nair are particularly popular. And thanks to a fixed orienteering course, orienteers also get their money's worth on the Corviglia slopes.

For all
Finished training? Enough hiking? On the move on two wheels - but something completely different? Then the fast scooter descent from the Marguns mountain station (2273 m above sea level) down to Celerina (1714 m above sea level) is a tempting alternative to get back to the valley from the Corviglia. But be careful: this challenging speedy tour through the alpine nature is not a leisurely stroll on a scooter. Helmets are therefore compulsory and children must be at least 1.20 m tall.

Let's take the first cable car ride at 7:45 a.m. to experience true summit bliss, because what could be more wonderful than gliding in the morning sun with wide turns over the freshly groomed slopes?

«Ski Run»
You can only get to the so-called FIS piste (No. 5) through an original World Cup start house, because the conditions here are truly world championship-worthy: A display informs ambitious skiers about the current best time of the day and poses the unspoken question: "Can you beat this time?" Anyone who wants to answer this question resolutely passes the light barrier and races down the approximately 400 m long giant slalom course. The cameras at the side of the track film the entire run, and the video, including a greeting from Lara Gut, is available for download immediately afterwards.
«Speed Check»
Fast, faster, Corviglia! On piste no. 15 you can "drive" your top speed thanks to the speedometers installed. Our advice: always smile! Because proof of this speed ride is a radar image that you can download for free in the evening.
