More and more communities in the Engadin and visitors are consciously choosing to forgo fireworks to protect pets, wildlife, and nature. For this reason, some towns have even introduced an official fireworks ban for New Year's Eve. You can find out where the ban or the refraining applies here.
Municipalities with a fireworks ban:
- Bever
- Bregaglia
- Celerina
- La Punt Chamues-ch
- Madulain
- Pontresina
- S-chanf
- Sils
- St. Moritz
- Zuoz
Municipalities with a fireworks refraining:
- Samedan: The municipality recommends refraining from setting off fireworks and appeals to everyone's personal responsibility. No official fireworks display will be provided.
- Silvaplana: The municipality is foregoing fireworks and asks residents to refrain from setting them off as well.
