August 1st in the Engadin
On 1 August, celebrations take place all over Switzerland – and in the Engadin, of course. Whether it’s a barbecue, a hike or simply spending time together: the National Day is all about community.
Happy Birthday Switzerland!
The municipalities of the valley have prepared a varied program for you – from the traditional August 1st brunch to an atmospheric concert on the alp. You are dearly invited to join in the various festivities and we look forward to raising a toast to Switzerland together.
Information on fireworks bans
All municipalities in the Upper Engadin have introduced a ban on fireworks and will refrain from fireworks on the first of August to protect pets, wildlife, and nature.
