Textile Workshop

Creative workshop at Chesa Planta where participants repair and redesign worn garments using simple hand‑sewing techniques.

Overview

The «Textilwerkstatt» workshop at Chesa Planta explores the value of clothing and shows how repair can create new qualities and meaning.

Format

Under the guidance of fashion designer Julia Seemann, participants use techniques such as visible mending, boro and sashiko to repair and redesign their own garments. Signs of wear remain visible and are deliberately used as a design feature.

What to bring

Participants bring a damaged or rarely worn item such as jeans, a T-shirt, a shirt or trousers, plus curiosity for handcraft and experimentation.

The remaining materials (fabric offcuts, threads, needles, scissors) will be provided for participants.

Course fee: CHF 170 (including materials and lunch)

Participation: min. 6 people / max. 12 people / aged 16 and over

Language: German

Registration: info@chesaplanta.ch
