Mountain change Val Fex – around 900 sheep move
Over 900 sheep, accompanied by their shepherds and their dogs, are herded from the eastern slopes down into the valley to the Muot Selvas alpine pasture. They arrive there at approximately 10:00 a.m.
At the Muot Selvas alpine pasture, the sheep are counted, their health is assessed, and they receive a footbath. The lambs that have reached their ideal weight are counted. The remaining sheep are then moved to the western side of the mountain between approximately 2:00 and 4:00 PM and graze there until mid-September.
Enjoy this unique spectacle! Food and drinks are available at the Muot Selvas alpine hut, located at the far end of the Val Fex.
Refreshments (including a barbecue) are served between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
