Prof. Dr Michael Kramer introduces pulsars as natural lighthouses of the universe and explains how they help to test Einstein’s theory of general relativity. He illustrates how gravitational waves arise and what the “hum of spacetime” reveals about the early universe.
Format
After the lecture, the team of the viadalat observatory invites participants to observe selected objects in the night sky through the telescopes. The event is aimed at anyone interested in modern astrophysics and impressive celestial phenomena.
