Family Friendly Hikes

Around Zuoz

Family Friendly Hikes

Classic hikes, short circular hikes that pass by one of the numerous grilling and picnic spots, or hikes with the clear goal of seeking seclusion. Hikes in Zuoz are made for experiencing moments with the whole family that are fit for the photo album.

Senda Celesta

There is a lot to discover on this adventure trail that lasts about an hour. It leads past a spectacular waterfall and up the ladder to a height that offers a unique panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the village of Zuoz. On the way back, you'll pass a beautiful "Swiss Family" fire pit - pack your barbecue supplies, put on your hiking boots, and off you go!

Via Engiadina - from Bever to Zuoz

The Engadin high-altitude hiking trail, the "Via Engiadina," is a must for everyone. It leads over several stages from Maloja to Cinuos-chel and from there on to the Lower Engadin. The fourth stage, starting in Bever and finishing in Zuoz, includes probably two of the most beautiful villages with Bever and Zuoz, and leads through dreamy forests and past beautifully blooming alpine meadows. Therefore, be sure to plan enough time for the hike, because you should take time to rest and enjoy the tranquility and the views. Once you arrive in Zuoz, it's worth taking a stroll through the village and enjoying coffee and cake at the Klarer pastry shop, which is located on the village square.

Off to the alp

Away from large crowds you will find these two popular excursion destinations: the Alp Arpiglia and the Alp Es-cha Dadour. Two easy hikes, at the end of which an alpine restaurant awaits you. If you prefer to go by bike - go ahead.

The hiking trail to Alp Arpiglia leads past a small mountain lake and offers a spectacular view of the villages of the Plaiv and the Inn, which makes its way through the valley.
