The Lägh da Cavloc - in English: Lake Cavloccio - is a mountain lake in Graubünden near the Maloja Pass. The lake is located at 1907 m. above sea level and about two kilometres south of the pass road. Lake Cavloc belongs to the municipality of Bregaglia and is about 400 m long and 300 m wide.
While the northern and western shores of the mountain lake are mainly lined with fir trees, the southern part almost resembles a beach, which invites you to linger with various barbecue spots. Wood is available.
A bath in the refreshing water is also worthwhile. If you are looking for a little culinary delights at altitude, you can get your fresh goat's cheese for a picnic directly on the Alp Cavloc or stop for regional specialities in the Cavloc restaurant.
The walk up to the lake is easily accessible with a pushchair and can either be a pleasant day's destination or enjoyed as a relaxing after-work round off the day.
Lake Cavloccio can be reached on foot from Maloja in just under an hour.
At the lake there are several barbecue areas and a restaurant. The lake is the starting point in the direction of Val Forno up to the SAC hut Forno.
