Our story began in 1754 when Giovan Battista Gismondi was born. When he was nine he got his first job as an apprentice in a silversmith’s workshop. Gradually, he began to pursue a unique personal style that would eventually be a favourite with Popes and noble Genovese families.
Gismondi 1754 is still a family-run company and it is famous for the high levels of creativity and classic modernity of its jewelry. The attention to detail that is emblematic of Italian master jewellers and the pursuit of exclusive designs have become the distinctive elements of all of its jewelry.
Creative drive is provided by Massimo Gismondi, who has transformed the family company into an international firm that follows its clients to the most prestigious locations in the world. Over the years Genoa, the group’s birthplace, has been joined by Portofino, Sankt Moritz, Milan, Prague, also corners in the USA (Neiman Marcus) and St. Barth (Diamond Genesis).
Despite boasting a more than 250-year history, Gismondi 1754 remains an agile and dynamic company. Our ongoing search for beauty and originality have yielded jewels with both classic and contemporary designs, and unexpected shapes, which are the secret of our solid and harmonious growth. This growth allowed for our listing on the stock exchange (AIM) in 2019, immediately attracting the interest of investors.
Listening to and carefully addressing the needs of our customers has been fundamental to our success, and providing attentive care is one of the company’s founding values expressed in our corporate philosophy and shared by the whole team.
