Sustainable neighbourhood

Naturally sustainable

Sustainable neighbourhood

Be it the everyday community life, holidays at a hotel or a major event – all year round, our partners in the region play an active part in our lives and in our experiences. Thanks to the intensive cooperation with local companies and entrepreneurs, we are able to give our special «Engadin flair» and a very individual character even to events of (inter)national importance.

Acting sustainably. Sounds complicated? It’s actually really simple. In order to live sustainably, you do not have to go far afield. On the contrary: If we cooperate as much and as closely as possible, then we already come quite close to achieving our “green goal”.

«Regionality» is the magic word

As sustainability means fulfilling the needs of the current generation without restricting those of the next generation, «regionality» is one of its main prerequisites. Our hotel partners and event organisers as well as the Engadin municipalities and mountain railway companies are mindful to primarily use products from the Engadin and the Canton of Grisons and to not only use renewable energy sources, but also to create them, such as by installing solar panels or thermowells.

By means of targeted measures in the fields of waste prevention and recycling, we also save energy, resources and money. Regionality therefore is a real allrounder: It promotes the local economy, safeguards jobs even in peripheral regions, provides for an intact nature and keeps local culture and craftsmanship alive.

Authentic and yet exclusive

Our guests from all over the world are visiting the Engadin to find exactly that kind of regionality: real taste, excellent quality and finest handicraft. An experience for everyone, while, at the same time, representing something truly unique. Gentle tourism offers experiences full of delight that speak right to the heart.
