In summer, the small museum is located at the back of Val Fex near Alp da Segl, at 2,075 metres above sea level, in the middle of the Thousand Stone Slabs area. The old accommodation of the Italian "giovellais" (stonecutters) and the tunnel entrances have been faithfully restored. The Cheva Museum is closed in winter. As an exception, the CHEVA DA PLATTAS DA FEX Foundation is presenting the quarry theme this winter in the community centre in Sils Maria. There, from 9 December 2022 to Easter 2023, you can learn a lot about the quarry and watch the film "November is coming for sure".
