Relaxed golf and leisurely recreation

Golf course Samedan

Do you enjoy the 19th hole as much as the first 18? Do you like your games to be relaxing and enjoyable as well as exciting? Then the Engadin is for you: we have everything to charm leisure golfers of every ability!

Framed by our breathtaking mountain scenery, our thrilling golf courses designed in harmony with nature add up to one of the most unmistakable golf destinations in Europe. The two championship courses of Samedan and Zuoz-Madulain, the Kulm golf course and the practice course in Sils amount to about 50 holes of golfing pleasure. Framed by shady, 700-year-old larch trees and offering views of magnificent alpine landscapes, these courses promise fun as well as recreation: concentrating on a pitch was never easier, putting has never felt so relaxed.

More than 125 years of golfing pleasure

Of course, the Engadin also offers golfing with a superlative, because in 1893 this was the first golf club in Switzerland with its Samedan facility opened: The 18-hole course in Samedan is already a classic because of their history, but also their design makes occasional golfer rejoice, because the open and flat terrain with its historic greens calls for relaxed turns. 10 km from Samedan lies the 18-hole tournament course of Zuoz-Madulain, which adds a good touch of excitement to the pleasure. This artfully designed course, full of variety, requires golfers to play the alpine topography with precision. But don’t worry – during your round of golf you will have ample time to enjoy the glorious mountain flowers along the edges of the fairways. Here, even searching for balls in the rough is fun!

The Kulm golf course (9 holes, par 3) is one of the highest in Europe, at 1,860 m above sea level. As with the Sils practice course (4 holes, par 3) at the Parkhotel Margna Golf Academy, heights of expertise are not compulsory: here, pleasure can be the undisputed goal. Both courses encourage a gentle game against a backdrop of spectacular mountain scenery.

Looking for suitable accommodation? Like to drink to your not-so-bad scorecard at hole 19? Left your golf glove at home? Or are you feeling ambitious and want the help of a pro? More than 40 golf hotels in the region, pro tuition, pro shops, restaurants (cosy Golf Restaurant Samedan with sun terrace, charming Mulligans in Zuoz), not to mention driving ranges and practice facilities at all courses, all of course accessible to golf carts: the Engadin has all that golfers could desire.
