Are there privileges for vaccinated guests?

The Covid 19 protection measures in our region are implemented in such a way that they provide effective protection against infection while still allowing for relaxed vacation experiences. This has been shown by the data collected over the past 12 months and the high number of guests for the beginning of the summer season.

Certificate requirement
When a Covid certificate is required for an area of public life (for example, a business, event, or location), it means:

  • Only persons who have a valid Covid certificate may be admitted. This can be presented in paper form or as an app on a cell phone.
  • It must be verified that the Covid certificate belongs to the person presenting it (ID card with picture).
  • Negative results from a company or school test or from a non-certified test are not considered certificates.
  • The certificate obligation starts from the age of 16 years old. (for example, today: from the date of birth before September 9, 2005)
  • The certificate obligation applies to the guests, customers, and visitors inside, but not to the people working there. See below: "no certificate obligation for employees"

Taking the test? This is how it goes:

Attention please: Make sure to make an appointment for your test! You even can do it online, for example at the Spital Oberengadin and the Polyclinic St. Moritz. Please do NOT use public transport for your trip to the doctor, but – if possible – a private vehicle. The Spital Oberengadin is happy to offer transport (for a fee) with the Corona-Mobil.

According to cantonal regulations, you must remain in quarantine after the test. Please note: Even if the test result is negative, the quarantine continues for up to 24 hours after you are without symptoms. Those who test positive have to go into isolation.

Departure of guests who tested positive

The departure of an infected guest requires the approval of the Contact Tracing Team.

New entry regulations for Switzerland

Entry into Switzerland will be allowed. The risk list now only contains states or areas where virus variants of concern for Switzerland (variants with a higher risk of infection) are circulating. The quarantine obligation is lifted for entry from the Schengen area. Mandatory testing now only applies when entering the country by air for those who have not been vaccinated and have not recovered. In addition, Switzerland is easing the remaining entry restrictions for vaccinated third-country nationals. The country list of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) has been adjusted. The entry of third-country nationals from countries such as the USA, Albania, and Serbia is now possible again.

Switzerland Tourism maintains a continuously updatet List for entry and return travel regulations.

This allows for a uniformly high quality standard to be guaranteed for organizations (such as restaurants & bars, hotels & holiday apartments, wellness facilities, mountain railways and public transport) that are granted this label.

Clean & Safe

«Clean and safe» – this motto applies not only to Switzerland’s pristine nature and cities.
