Whisky pairing with cigars

Adrian Lüthy is a passionate whisky expert and connoisseur of spirits. He has already led many tastings at the Waldhaus. Yet, no two tastings are ever the same; he always shares new and interesting information about the different types of whisky with his guests. This evening, five different whiskies will be tasted: GlenAllachie 11 Years Old – Scotch Single Malt, Speyside; Glengoyne 18 Years Old – Scotch Single Malt, Highlands; Hazelburn 10 Years Old – Scotch Single Malt, Campbeltown; Tamdhu Cigar Malt – Scotch Single Malt, Speyside; and Cù Bòcan Creation #5 – Scotch Single Malt, smoky and peaty. Afterwards, Matthias Guidon from Tres Hermanos will give an introduction to the world of cigars, followed by a discussion on suitable pairings. To conclude, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of their favorite whisky. Those who wish can drink the whisky directly in the smoking room together with a suitable cigar (not included in the price).
