As Gian Maria Calonder, the author has published a series of Engadine crime novels in which the cranky policeman Massimo Capaul pursues sometimes curious cases in the Engadine.

The fact that Gian Maria Calonder is the successful author Tim Krohn was not long concealed in Switzerland. Since 2014, the author has lived in Santa Maria, a village of 350 inhabitants in Val Müstair, a side valley of the Engadine, which he therefore knows very well.

Tim Krohn was born in 1965 in North Rhine-Westphalia, grew up in Switzerland in Glarnerland from the age of two and then lived in Zurich for a good twenty years, in a very endearing cooperative.

He has won the Berlin Open Mike, the Conrad Ferdinand Meyer Prize, the Swiss Schiller Foundation Prize and the Culture Prize of the Canton of Glarus, among others.
