August 1954. Thomas Mann is once again staying at the Waldhaus Sils. Alone and from the perspective of the famous writer, you enter his room on the Beletage. But a ghost is sitting at the desk: Thomas Mann´s long-dead son Klaus. Klaus recognises his father in the visitor and engages him in conversation. Equipped with VR glasses, you experience first-hand the confrontation between Klaus Mann and his father, played by Peter Jecklin in virtual reality, as an encounter between the real and the longed-for self.
The artist collective RAUM+ZEIT was invited to the Swiss Theatertreffen 2019 with the VR installation ANTIGONE: COMEBACK. For Sils and Davos, it is now designing a new double installation with the medium of "virtual reality", which refers to two important biographical places of Thomas Mann in Graubünden.
