Vernissage Claudio Gotsch

Vernissage Claudio Gotsch

The photographer Claudio Gotsch (1969) has his hunting ground in the Engadin. His main subjects are the animals. In his pictures he captures extraordinary moments of nature and brings the magic of the Engadine into your living room.

With the summer exhibition 2020 at the plattner & plattner Art Gallery in Pontresina he shows some of his works for the first time in his home country.
With his "BlackEdition" Claudio Gotsch has succeeded in creating an intense atmosphere between animal and viewer in a particularly impressive way. The picture, reduced to the animal, radiates an enormous power in his photographs:
"As an animal photographer, you have to be there before the animals and go after the animals. To do this, you have to know them and their habits exactly."
In addition to his animal pictures, Claudio Gotsch also captures his home country in wonderful landscape and lifestyle photographs. The Engadine is a unique high valley whose lakes, mountains, valleys and also the farm animals living in them create a special atmosphere.
