Open Doors Engadin - Villa Flor

Open Doors Engadin - Villa Flor

Built in 1904, Villa Flor in S-chanf was converted into a stately guest house in 2009, with preserved historical elements and restored Art Nouveau paintings.

In the small Engadine village of S-chanf, the Villa Flor stands out clearly. It is not a typical regional farmhouse, but a representative, stately home of a returning emigrant family in the neoclassical style with Art Nouveau decor. In 1904, members of the Cloetta family, who had made their fortune in Parma as "Randolinas Engiadinaisas" and returned wealthy, built the building as it still stands today. Renovation of a classicist patrician house: In 2009, the manor house was converted into Villa Flor with seven guest rooms. Great importance was attached to preserving the historical substance. At the same time, strong accents were set with contemporary architecture and artistic furnishings. The original Art Nouveau paintings have been expertly restored and give Villa Flor an impressive aura.
