The Shonagon Quartet performs a stirring programme of music by Antonio Lotti, Antonín Dvo?ák, Johann Distler, Walter Rabl and George Gershwin. Junko Otani (clarinet) comes from Tokyo and received her training in Tokyo, then in Paris with Michel Arrignon and finally in Geneva with Thomas Friedli. Martin Lehmann (violin) studied in Zurich with Ottavio Corti and in Basel with Sandor Zöldy, where he earned his soloist diploma. Christof Mohr (cello) studied in Zurich with Claude Starck, with the French master cellist Paul Tortelier and with Christophe Coin in Basel. Kristine Barro (piano) received her training in piano and chamber music in Zurich with Annette Weisbrod and Hadassa Schwimmer. She performs as a soloist and in various chamber music ensembles and teaches in Zurich.
