Light and shadow, peaks and abysses: the Alps are the focus of Leonie Schenk's work. She shows her own view of mountain landscapes in the Zuoz workshop both in panorama size and in smaller formats. What the works of art have in common is an eye-catching light that immerses the mountains in a lively, sometimes surreal and always luminous atmosphere. This is achieved through the idiosyncratic choice of colors and sometimes strong contrasts that divide the landscape into radiantly bright and deeply shadowed passages. This gives the pictures an exciting depth and at the same time creates a suction-like effect. The color spectrum of the works ranges from pastel colorations to bold applications. The panorama picture measures 600 mx 80 cm and is divided into six 100 x 80 cm works. Like the smaller formats, they are painted in acrylic on paper and mounted on cardboard.
