Festival da Jazz: Marialy Pacheco
Jazz pianist Marialy Pacheco is the only female pianist among the current ranks of famous Cuban jazz pianists such as Roberto Fonseca, Omar Sosa, and Gonzalo Rubalcaba.
She is the winner of the 2012 Montreux Solo Piano Competition. This makes her the first woman to win this prize in the competition’s 15-year history.
