"Erich and Gerda - Summer Returns" with Irina Schönen and Gian Rupf

Irina Schönen and Gian Rupf have been lending their voices to SRF's Kulturplatz for ten years. Together, they have developed several stage programs, such as "Bear Proposes" with scenes from Anton Chekhov, "A Whole Life" by Robert Seethaler, and "Foreign Body" and other stories by Peter Stamm. In their latest production, "Erich and Gerda," they slip into the roles of an elderly couple—Erich and Gerda—with Tim Krohn's affectionate and quirky dialogues from his novel cycle "Human Emotions." Erich and Gerda are over 80 and have spent their entire lives together in a cooperative apartment in Zurich's District 5. The two ponder questions that also concern us: What would it be like when we are their age? How should we grow old, how should we leave this world and our loved ones? How do we navigate relationships? A touching evening about partnership and aging itself.
