On the second Sunday morning of March, the starting pistol for the Engadin Skimarathon will be fired in Maloja in the Upper Engadin.
The second largest cross-country skiing event in the world attracts over 14,000 cross-country skiing enthusiasts from up to 60 nations to the Graubünden high valley during the marathon week.
To do justice to Switzerland´s biggest cross-country ski event - and the second-biggest worldwide - one day is simply not enough. The valley celebrates the joys of Nordic skiing for a whole week, starting with the Engadin Women´s race, followed in subsequent days by the Youth Sprint, the Engadin Night Race and, on the Friday evening, the Night Sprint. The Engadin Skimarathon and the Engadin Half Marathon provide the week´s grand finale. All cross-country ski enthusiasts, whether participants or spectators, can look forward to an exhilarating and rewarding event - not to mention a lively supporting programme, warm hospitality and delicious cuisine.
Start: From 08.15 am in Maloja
