Dance theatre - La barunessa

Dance theatre - La barunessa

The dance theatre tells the story of Marie Bertha von Planta, one of the four founders of the Fundaziun de Planta.

Born in 1889, she lived through both world wars and the transition from the old social order to modern times. She remained unmarried and childless throughout her life and was what today would be called a 'modern nomad'. She travelled a lot, moved in high circles and was surrounded by a noble aura that earned her the title "la barunessa", especially in southern climes - a title she was only too happy to adorn herself with.
