The schoolchildren of S-chanf, Chapella and Cinuos-chel lead the traditional procession, sing Chalandamarz songs and parade through the fractions.

On Friday, 28 February, the procession will start in Susauna (from 9:00 am) and at 1:15 pm they will move on to Chapella and Cinuos-chel with horses and carriages. The first Chalandamarz day ends at 16:00 with a marenda in the Veduta.

On 1 March at 00:01 on the dot, the patruns and patrunas crack their whips in S-chanf. The parade starts at 7.15 am and resumes at 1.15 pm after the lunch break. The procession ends with a marenda from the Staila restaurant on the square by the Hotel Scaletta.

Chalandamarz traditionally ends in S-chanf on 2 March with the "Bal da Chalandamarz".
