Annemarie Koelliker and Roberto Saibene have visited the Arctic twice. The polar fever has them on Svalbard in 2014. In this group of islands they admired the imposing mountain ranges and glaciers plunging into the sea. The main attraction, however, were the polar bears, which they were able to observe at close range.

Four years later they set out on an expedition through the Northeast Passage: from Norway via Siberia to Alaska. During the four-week journey, they saw with their own eyes the dramatic changes brought about by global warming. They returned home from the expeditions with many pictures and questions: Will the polar bears and the natives who have lived there for thousands of years survive the next decades?
