Präsentation von Christian Dumais-Lvowski und Film "Les frères Morozov, mécènes et collectionneurs" (2021, Vorpremiere) auf Französisch.

The saga of the Morozovs, Russian textile billionaires, is both a human adventure and an exceptional page in the history of European art.  This family of collectors of French, impressionist, post-impressionist, Fauve, Nabis and cubist art from the end of the 19th century until the Bolshevik revolution of 1917 had an exceptional destiny.

Filmed in Russia, this documentary presents the Morozov dynasty and their collection of more than 650 paintings, which, after being nationalised by Lenin, is now exhibited in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow and the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg.

This film by Elisabeth Kapnist and Christian Dumais-Lvowski will be premiered at the Waldhaus.
