THE JACKSON CUP
Already in the winter of 1896/97, Mr. R.W. Paterson donated a silver challenge cup. And the following winter the first competition was held for the Jackson Cup, a trophy named after its founder, Mr. N.L. Jackson. It was the express wish of the donor that the Jackson Cup should be held annually as a tournament between the Swiss curling clubs. In March 1898 the corresponding regulations were drawn up between the St. Moritz and Davos Curling Clubs, at that time the only two official curling clubs.
