Guided tour through the Sils Museum

Sils i.E.
Dr. Mirella Carbone or Guido Locher will guide you through the SILS MUSEUM and the special exhibition

The former Andrea Robbi Museum is still dedicated to the work of the Sils painter and draughtsman. In the future, however, exhibitions will increasingly focus on local and regional cultural themes. One example is the current special exhibition:

Women´s valleys - Vals da las duonnas - Valli delle donne
24 women in the Upper Engadin and Bergell, who create an artistic work, found a hotel, write, research, teach, and work on social issues, the exhibition in the Sils Museum is dedicated to them. They are pioneers in many fields, have left their mark or are setting signs today. Their works and their commitment reflect their creativity, their struggle for independence, their perseverance and their emancipatory energy.
On display are positions from 150 years, which stand for a piece of women´s history:Maria Bass, Hanni Bay, Verena Fümm-Nadig, Romana Ganzoni, Johanna Garbald-Gredig (Silvia Andrea), Clementina Gilly (Clio), Annigna Godly, Lea Gredig, Wanda Guanella, Ladina Kobler, Marcella Maier, Elizabeth Main, Anna and Teodora Maurizio, Elvezia Michel, Clara Porges, Annamaria Reinalter, Elvira Salis-Ganzoni, Charlotte von Salis-Bay, Katharina von Salis, Annemarie Schwarzenbach, Ursina Vinzenz, Helge Werth, Jessica Zuan

The exhibition is curated by Barbara Liebster.
