In summer, flower-filled meadows, crystal-clear lakes and towering mountains form an enchanting backdrop. The scene in winter: a magical sparkling white landscape, dusted with fresh powder snow.
Thanks to an exceptionally sunny climate, the number of sunny days in the Engadin lies well above the average. As a result, the region all but provides a weather guarantee most of the year: wedding pictures should be crowned by a piercing blue sky.
Couples who opt for a church wedding are spoilt for choice: each village has at least one chapel or church, each with its own special character. The beautiful French-speaking Eglise au Bois in St. Moritz, for example, with its exquisite wooden ceiling, promises an emotional occasion – as does the enchanting church of San Gian, whose tower lost its roof to a lightning bolt more than 300 years ago.
