On the interactive trail of Swiss Stone Pine
The Taiswald is spread out at the entrance to the Val Roseg in Pontresina. Alongside a diverse Swiss stone pine and larch population, it is also home to many local animal species. The Swiss Stone Pine Trail goes through the Taiswald and gives visitors the opportunity to learn lots about Swiss stone pine and the wood.

All you need are a mobile phone, sturdy shoes and a good nose. On three different trails, visitors not only learn interesting information about the flora and fauna but can also recharge their energy and test their ability:

On the EXPLORE TRAIL you can enjoy a gentle hike on the trail and automatically receive interesting information at relevant points. At the end of the trail, you can test your knowledge in a quiz.

The WELLNESS TRAIL offers possibilities for relaxation and mindfulness. Video tutorials with simple yoga and breathing exercises are suggested at special points along the trail.

Clever sleuths will enjoy an exciting treasure hunt with the SPEED TRAIL. When visitors find the hidden wooden animals, they can scan them with their mobile phone and see their time on the leader board.

The Swiss Stone Pine Trail can be comfortably reached from Pontresina via two access points: the Rusellas car park at the Via da la Staziun and Surovas station.

Tip:

Fully charge your phone and activate the GPS feature. Accept the location detection and camera when requested to do so by the app. Always only start one trail at a time. Note: no app download required.

Each trail takes approx. 30-45 minutes.
