Thanks to its central location, Celerina offers its guests the rich variety of leisure activities on offer in the Upper Engadin all within a compact area. Not to mention fascinating insights right on its doorstep: the village's landmark is the Church of San Gian, perched on the distinctive rocky ridge rising up from the Champagnatscha plain.
The church, with its small Romanesque and larger Gothic towers, were first mentioned in 1239. It stands on the remains of an earlier church and is today regarded as a monument of national significance – as well as a site for excellent classical concerts.
Those who like a bit of adventure should take a look around the Bob Museum - such as immediately after the one-hour guided tour of the village.
