The comforting smell of horses hangs in the air and their hoofs clatter at a leisurely pace as the carriage moves deeper and deeper into the wonderfully rugged side valley: a trip by horse-drawn carriage into the Val Fex is one of the most romantic experiences far and wide. In the village square in Sils, carriages and pairs are lined up ready to take you to Platta, Crasta or even right up to the Hotel Fex. And, of course, back again – whereby the magnificent scenery also provides the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable hike.
