Architecture tour (SmarTrail) (D/E)

The destination Engadin has dedicated its current culture guide to the topic of architecture and with Open Doors 2022 an event focused on architecture took place for the first time in the Upper Engadin at the end of June. Part of the activities during the Open Doors weekend was, in addition to the numerous buildings made accessible, also architectural tours in the communities under expert guidance. Samedan Evenimaints reacted after the great interest in Open Doors and created the architectural tour Samedan. The architectural tour presents buildings of different genre and from different style periods, from the Middle Ages to the

present. Start and finish is at the Samedan train station. We wish you good entertainment. Good to know 2.6 km long - approx. 1.5 hours - suitable for baby carriages. Scan the QR code in the display case at the station and start your virtual tour.

Nature Trail-La Senda:

La Senda offers heaps of surprises during the summer months - discover a glowing perfume, use the binoculars and paired swing, climb into the bird's nest. Listen to the story "Walled up alive". The Senda is 6.5 km long and has a height difference of 227 meters. Those thirsty for knowledge will learn a lot about the topic of biodiversity at 32 posts. The running time is about 2.5 hours, but for the study of all the posts and the enjoyment of the view you should allow some more time. Experience La Senda with SmarTrails. Water adventure trail

The new course of the river Flaz resulted in the circular trail Inn-Flaz-Flaz Vegl-Inn, which is known as a water trail and surprises with digital information in addition to the information boards at every bench and bridge. 8.8 km long, duration approx. 2.5 hours, suitable for strollers. The smartphone must have an internet connection. The GPS location function of the smartphone must be activated. A full battery or, if necessary, a power bank are an advantage. Digital village tour

If you want to feel at home in the Engadine, we advise you to set up your headquarters in the Krone in Samedan. This is what the German writer and poet Joseph Viktor von Scheffel said about Samedan in 1850. The Krone inn no longer exists, but there are several other hotels, numerous vacation apartments and much to experience. On our interactive village tour you will learn how Samedan has developed over the course of history to become a center and traffic hub, as well as a lot of historical and current information. The 2.2-kilometer-long tour and the 49-meter difference in altitude will take you about 40 minutes to
